Emigrated from Switzerland in 1995 we, Lucas and Christina Kaiser, farmed in Ontario for our first 12 years. In late 2007 we built our new farm, on the Quebec side, in the nice Outaouais region on an island called Allumettes island, surrounded by the Ottawa river. We are a family-owned and operated farm with Holstein dairy cows, cash crop (corn and soybeans) and our German Shepherd dogs. Lately we also have some beef cows and calves for meat production. Our 6 children are involved in the daily chores on the farm, giving them the opportunity to have their own animals and to learn the responsibility of their care.
